Tapp Ecosystem: Efficient POS Tablet for Enhanced Event Experience and Customer Satisfaction
Project:
In pursuit of a seamless and efficient solution for managing orders during events, the Tapp decided to develop a POS tablet. This tablet would serve as a user-friendly tool for bar staff while also enhancing customer interaction by displaying real-time order statuses. The goal was to provide an integrated solution within the existing Tapp ecosystem, enhancing the overall event experience.
Challenges:
The challenges were numerous and demanding. Firstly, the POS tablet needed to be scalable to handle peak moments during busy events without sacrificing performance. Additionally, it was crucial to seamlessly integrate the tablet with the existing infrastructure of the Tapp ecosystem, ensuring a consistent user experience. Another challenge was designing a multi-screen interface: one for bar staff to process orders and another for customers to view the status of their orders. Furthermore, the tablet needed to be capable of scanning QR codes generated for customer orders, adding an extra layer of functionality.
Approach:
The development team opted for React Native due to its versatility and compatibility with various devices and platforms. By using React Native, they could create a unified user experience regardless of the device being used. SDK integration was essential to enable functionality for QR code scanning and communication with the backend. Thorough backend integration ensured that the POS tablet could seamlessly communicate with the existing systems of the Tapp ecosystem.
Results:
After intensive work and close collaboration, the team successfully developed a fully functional POS tablet. The tablet could not only scan QR codes for order processing but also offered an intuitive interface for both bar staff and customers. Customers could now easily view the status of their orders on the customer-facing screen of the tablet. The integration of the POS tablet into the Tapp ecosystem provided a seamless user experience and improved the efficiency of the order processing process during events.
Conclusion: The development of the POS tablet for the Tapp ecosystem was a successful project that resulted in a valuable addition to Tapp's existing offerings. By focusing on scalability, integration, and functionality, the team succeeded in providing an innovative solution that benefited both bar staff and customers. The POS tablet not only improved the efficiency of the order processing process but also enriched the overall customer experience during events.
