Roof Connect is the largest digital trade platform for the Dutch roofing industry: a daily source of news and knowledge for roofers. We built the roof-connect.nl website and the companion app for iOS and Android.
Challenge
The platform brings a lot together: daily articles, trade magazines, a supplier directory, events and partner advertising. All of that had to stay clear for roofers, both on the website and on the go in the app.
Approach
We built the website in Ruby on Rails, with dedicated sections for articles, trade magazines, suppliers and events, plus space for premium partners. The app keeps roofers up to date on news, suppliers and events. We also developed Rik, an AI assistant that answers questions about roofing, insulation and materials.
Result
Roof Connect now has one platform where roofers read the news every day, find suppliers and ask Rik their trade questions. The app is available in the App Store and Google Play, so the platform is at hand on the go too.
